FitforREACH 2

Chemical Risk Management and Assessment of Alternatives: Tools and best practices to support the circular economy principle, create more sustainable products, and avoid undesirable substitution – FitforREACH-2.

About the Project

The goal of the project is to implement chemical risk management systems (or elements thereof) in companies,
in order to encourage and support the reduction of the use, emissions, and exposure to hazardous substances.

During the project

  • a comprehensive understanding of chemical risk management will be developed;
  • Hazardous substances will be replaced at companies to reduce their impact on the environment;
  • Various practical tools and manuals will be developed;
  • consultations are provided to interested parties;
  • Let’s also carefully evaluate alternatives to hazardous substances and mixtures to avoid
    unwanted substitution. By improving, for example, procurement procedures, employee
    protection, monitoring of chemical use, and communication within the supply chain,
    will increase understanding of and awareness regarding chemical substances.
