Ecowool

Ecowool is a loose-fill cellulose insulation made from recycled paper. It provides effective thermal insulation for a range of building structures, helping reduce heating costs and improve indoor comfort. Because it is blown into place, ecowool can fill gaps and hard-to-reach areas to create a continuous insulation layer.

What is ecowool?

Ecowool is an eco-friendly insulation wool made primarily from recycled paper, including newspapers. Additives provide additional fire resistance and protection against pests. This type of cellulose insulation is most commonly used as loose-fill or blown-in wool. Its loose form allows the material to adapt to the shape of the structure instead of relying on pre-cut insulation boards.

Where and how is ecowool used?

Ecowool can be used in residential homes, commercial buildings, and industrial facilities. Its ability to fill voids and conform to irregular spaces makes it suitable for complex structures where insulation boards may be difficult to fit.

Ecowool is suitable for several areas of a building, including:

  • attic floors;
  • roofs;
  • frame walls;
  • interfloor structures;
  • floors;
  • timber structures.

Once installed, the loose cellulose fibers fill voids and conform to the shape of the surrounding structure, creating a uniform insulation layer.
